Sharne Warne has warned Steve Smith to expect his biggest challenge yet. Jofra Archer is Set to make his Ashes debut in the second test at Lord’s and he will be challenging.
Former Australian captain Smith scored 286 runs in his team’s stunning victory in the opening Ashes. Archer didn’t play in that match. But eventually now Archer will replace James Anderson cause of Anderson’s calf injury.
Fast yet incredible bowler Archer took 20 Wickets during World Cup campaign. He has also warmed up for his test debut by taking Six Wickets and Scoring a century for Sussex’s second XI.
Australian legend Warne said: ‘Obviously I would love to see Steve go on and score a hundred in every single innings for the rest of the Ashes. ‘
‘But with Jofra coming in I think he will set to face his biggest challenge yet and this could make the difference in the upcoming Tests. No one likes to face tall 90mph bowlers.’
‘The loss of Anderson was such a blow for England and they will really need Jofra to step up but I think he has all the attributes to do just that.’
‘They’ll have faced each other a lot in the nets so if anyone will have a plan it’ll be Jofra.’
