According to the report, one out of every four youth in the country complains of high BP. If ignored for long periods of time, it can have a bad effect on the heart. High blood pressure affects heart pumping and can lead to heart attack. Programs like free inquiry have been started in the districts for the detection of high BP.
According to another study by the All India Council for Medical Research, heart rate deaths in India increased manifold between 1990 and 2016.50% of deaths occurred ahead of time, 32% of which occur in cities. Today, more than 6 million people have heart disease. 25 percent of deaths from heart disease were between 25 and 65 years of age in 1990.
